In a nutshell, following a near-death experience in the Indian jungle in my early twenties, I came to see myself as an ‘agent of change’ – someone deeply committed to helping others create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.
It’s a long story, but that experience became a catalyst for both my personal and professional development. I went on to become a Chartered Psychologist, a registered Psychotherapist and Leadership Coach. As a researcher and writer, I have published extensively, lectured internationally, and serve on the Editorial Board of the Transactional Analysis Journal(TAJ). My professional training includes Authentic Leadership Development (ALD), Person-Centred Counselling, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), NLP, and I am also a Certified Transactional Analyst.
Before entering the helping professions, I worked in education, social work, and local and central government in the United Kingdom, including the Ministry of Justice. For almost 30 years, I have supported the growth of individuals, leaders and organisations through coaching, consultancy, training and psychotherapy across Europe, Asia and North America.
Over recent years, my work has become increasingly focused on adult neurodivergence. Alongside my professional experience, my own late diagnosis deepened both my understanding and my curiosity, leading me to develop a particular specialism in working with autistic and ADHD adults, especially professionals, executives and expatriates whose strengths can often mask lifelong challenges. Today, I provide comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments, therapy and coaching, helping clients gain clarity, understand themselves more fully, and build lives that work with their neurotype rather than against it.
Now based in Vienna with my wife and teenage children, I work with senior leaders from organisations including the United Nations and the World Bank, while also supporting clients from around the world through my specialist psychotherapy, coaching and neurodevelopmental assessment practice.
My areas of expertise include:
- Adult Autism & ADHD Assessments
- ADHD & Autism Coaching
- Expat Counselling
- Leadership & Executive Coaching
- Relationship Therapy & Mediation
- Burnout Treatment & Prevention
- Loss & Bereavement Therapy
- LGBTQ+ Therapy
- Problematic Screen Use
